Waist band measurement
- This is where your jean waist band will sit.
- Measure around your waist at the point where you want your jean waist band to sit.
Outseam measurement
- This measurement is for the length and waist band on your jeans.
- Begin measuring at the same place on your waist where you took your waist band measurements.
- Measure the same leg for outseam and inseam.
- Measure from the waist band measurement point (see above) to the bottom of the foot.
Inseam measurement
- This is for the length of your pants.
- Measure the same leg you used for the outseam measurement.
- Measure from the crotch to the bottom of your foot. See below if measuring yourself.
Inseam short cut
- Use a pair of pants that is already the length you want.
- Lay them flat on the table
- Measure from crotch seam to bottom of hem.
- If they are hemmed for 1, 2, 3 inch heels then add 1,2,3 inches to the outseam measurement.
Around your seat and hip
- This measurement is how your booty will fit in your jeans.
- Measure around the widest part of your booty/hip.
- Make sure the tape is not pulled to tight but keep the tape level.
Around your thigh
- This is how your jeans will fit around your thighs.
- Measure around your thigh. Measure close to the crotch as possible since this is the widest part.
